The little things she does...

So tonight I had Oaks in the tub and she was drinking the water and I told her please don't do that... Then I told her, "Ok it time to wash your body." She stuck her hand out ready for the soap. i put some in her hand and she has never done this before but she went to put it in her mouth. Quickly she realized that was a bad idea it tasted awful you could tell. She the picked up the cup again and started to drink. Then started to choke. (when she chokes on food or drink I always grab one arm and raise it in the air) well she took a drink of the tub water and then raised her own hand. It was so stinkin cute. She quickly recovered and went back to playing in the water. It's amazing how much she picks up on... It makes me want to be a good person because I know she is watching my every move...

Sidenote: I have been looking at bedding for our room and kind find exactly what I want. So far I like Anthropologie bedding but it's pretty expensive... Any ideas? Secret web finds that rock for this kind of stuff...



I actually have been making a quilt for sometime now but I just don't love it yet. I love what I see in my head but when I put it together it just looks wrong the idea is so cool my inspiration is... This knob I love it!!!
and the quilt is very similar I just want it to all come together...
Big problem I don't quilt.....

Family Home Evening!!!

We have been trying harder to have FHE each Monday night and the last two weeks have been so fun. Last week I surprised Oaks and Ryan and went to Walmart and bought a fire pit and hot dogs and firewood( from maverick don't buy it there it's all wet and it wouldn't burn very good) but came home put it all together really quickly I had to tell ry though sooner cause I needed his help putting it together and then we had roasted marshmallows and sat by the fire. Oak loved it!!!!! It will def. be something we will do lots...

This weeks family home evening was making sugar cookies for family for Valentines Day. A day late but it was fun to make them Oak was a great helper...
She was so cute when she would push the cookie cutter in she would shake cause she was pushing so hard. It was really sweet. THen she kept eating the cookie dough. She used the rolling pin and everything. Good job oak!!!! Ry was very helpful too... So stinkin cute. My mom gave me this cupcake cookbook for Valentines so I decided to use that to make the frosting but you have to hold your bowl over the stove while you make it and Ry was sweet enough to hold the bowl while I mixed for NINE MINUTES and what he failed to tell me is it was burning his hands the whole time. Thanks trooper Ry for helping me it turned out really yummy and the cookies were good.
Now today oak and I will deliver the Cookies FUN!!!

Happy Love Month!!!

Gosh so much for keeping up on the posts. I got sick there and then didn't blog for a minute but I have a lot to catch up on so today is the day. It is the first today of Feb. crazy!!!! I love this month it's a short one:) and it's all about love... I don't really love this holiday but I love the decor and colors and I love getting stuff for Ry and now Oak too. It's just fun excuse to make Ry a cute dinner, to eat chocolate and conversation hearts, to get oaks a stuffed animal. This year Ry got me something already he couldn't wait he was to excited!!! It was so darn cute I'll post what it was a little later today and what I made with it:)

I'm sick take me to the hospital...

I feel like crap. I keep getting this start of a cold thing and it is so crappy. I can't breath hardly at all there is no use in eating food I can't taste it... SAD :(
I went running with Kimmie this morning and we had to walk cause I could breath and I felt like my head was going to explode its not fun at all... Umph... Now I am going to tidy my house so fast so I can go lay down and watch SVU it's one of my favs these days... More later if I feel up to it

HIP HOP

So tonight I took my first hip hop class. It was awesome... I'm terrible. Terrible Terrible but it was a blast. It was completely out of my comfort zone I think way to much about the steps and I'm sure my face is ridiculous but once I get the steps then I can throw me in there. Right now I can't even get past the second step ithe dance... SAD... But it is going to be so good for my confidence.
I'm proud of my self for doing something new. We'll see what I do next. For now I am a hip hopper... :) Ha ha
I practice more when I got home and I will continue every night cause I won't go back to the class as bad as I was tonight. I'm excited for next week. And I can't wait till tomorrow cause I get better everyday... Right???

THIS GIRL...

The other day I was going through Oaks clothes taking out all the ones that she has out grown and adding the ones that are now her size and allof a sudden I look down and Oak has gotten this little back pack for Christmas well she is packing her bag as fast as she can full of all the clothes that i had folded in her drawers. I was laughing so hard I quickly got the camera to catch this little theif in action... It was so cute... Oaks you keep me on my toes.

Thank you so much all for the advice life has been so much better I actually have done a mixture of all of it and it seems to be working.. So Thank you. You have saved my sanity. Oaks is getting better every night last night she slept all the way through the night..WOOT!!!
