Oaks is 2

My baby is 2 can you believe it? It's one in the morning and I am just about ready to go and read my scriptures and hit the sack. But I just wanted to say how much I love my Oaks and the sweet girl that she is. This picture pretty much sums her up. FULL of IT. PERSONALITY.... My goodness. What a dolly. I am so proud to be her mom. I think about what was going on RIGHT now two years ago and I was still walking the halls of the hospital wishing and praying she would come. What a crazy experience. I wish I could pause time and that she would never grow up. But at the same time I'm excited to watch her grow and learn. She is so smart and so sweet... Watching her go to dance the other day for the first time was so cute it seriously melts my heart. I am excited to see the changes she will make this next year. I hope the terrible twos are fun and that we can get through all they bring... I really don't think they will be that terrible. She is talking so much and the more she can communicate the better right? We'll see I guess... HAPPY BIRTHDAY my little sweet girl.

Sis the things I love about you...

My Little Dancer...

Today was Oakleigh's first Day of Dance. At west side studio and she LOVED it!!!!
So cute she got in there and the teacher put little mermaid outfits on the girls and turned on little mermaid music and away she went. She posed for these pictures and it melted my heart. They don't allow parents to be in there because they want the girls to focus and dance. Which I understand but it made me sad that I couldn't be right there. They give them snack time afterward like a little tea party SO STINKIN CUTE!!! She had the biggest grin on her face when she came out. Notice her sad little ouchie on her hand we were getting ready for a wedding reception on Saturday night and she reached up to put her deodorant on like she sees mommy do ;) and I feel so bad the curling iron was right there. It BROKE m¥ hear I felt so bad. But we are taking care of it I just hope it doesn't scar her little precious hand. :(

So things are rolling right a long these days. Oak is turning 2 next week she is getting so big.. New thing of the week she does not like me taking her PJs off to put on an outfit for the day she screams and screams... Hopefully it's just a really quick phase... I HOPE!!! She is my little swimming bug and she loves playing with Princess stuff check out what I found on KSL... I love when I find a good bargain she is getting this for her birthday and I can't wait to give it to her...


She will also be getting this...


But we will save this one until Christmas...
I don't want to spoil her too much. Bonus I'm already getting a kick start on Christmas presents so much better than waiting and having no money at the end of the year. Even though that's not how we do Christmas that's how I feel at the end of the year.

SIck of IT!!!

I swear it's like that commercial with the dad and his son where they are making socks because they are sick of nothing fitting...
Well I am sick of getting a product loving it and then it's gone. Under wear luckily I wear alternate of that now cause American eagle doesn't carry the right ones any more. Hollister perfume it was amazing now they don't make it. And the most recent my hair goop. Seriously I love this stuff and they didn't have it at Wal mart. Its cheap stuff but I have tried so many and that one works the very best. Blast oh well... I'm over it I guess... I'm going to check on line I hope they have it...Pray for me...

Chicken and Bean Casserole

I made this recipe the other night for the first time and it rocked. A couple of my besties tried it and wanted the Recipe so I thought I would share it with everyone...

Chicken and Bean Casserole

Mix the Following ingredients together:
1 1/2 TBSP Olive Oil
1 White or Purple Onion
1 Green Bell Pepper
2 Cloves of Garlic or one spoonful of minced garlic
Pinch of Garlic Salt
2 cans of diced tomatoes (optional)
If you don't want tomatoes add Half a cup of salsa
1 can diced green chilies
1 tsp chili powder
pinch of Ground Cumin

Other ingredients needed:
Chicken breast 2-4
3 cups of cheese
Flat out (flat healthy tortillas from Costco)
Or Tortillas Corn or Flour

Chop the onions and bell peppers. Then mix all the above ingredients in a bowl.

Cook 2-4 chicken breasts (depends on how much chicken you want in it)
Cut chicken in to small chunks and put in a skillet with a Tsp of Olive Oil, and a pinch of Garlic Salt, Salt and pepper.

When chicken is cooked now you will layer everything like lasagna.
First the Tortilla/Flat bread, chicken, the mix of Veggies, and then the cheese.
Continue with layering until desired thickness. Top with one more layer of Veggies chicken and cheese.
Bake at 300 degrees for 1 Hr.

Serves 8

Oh Boy!!! It's been past a month Hasn't it....?

I STARTED THIS POST A WHILE BACK WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF IT AND FRIENDS CAME OVER SO I TOOK IT OFF BECAUSE I WASN'T READY TO POST IT. PEOPLE SAW THE TITLE AND MAY HAVE THOUGHT THAT I MIGHT BE PREGNANT AND THAT IS FALSE... NOT PREGNANT. JUST ENJOYING LIFE WITH MY SWEET LITTLE FAM. THIS WAS OUR TRIP TO IDAHO SO MUCH FUN THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE PICTURES

This is the Rat Cabin/Trailor we have the privilege of staying in each time we go to Idaho. My dad killed 24 mice before we even got there. When you go in it smells of Rat piss and bug spray and old carpet all rolled in to one. YUM. But call us CRAZY we love going. Goal is to build something a little nicer well at least something that passes code.

When we first got to the cabin Oak reached down at one of the mouse traps (no mouse inside) and it snapped on her. It's didn't get her but it scared her bad enough. She FREAKED!!! Ha ha ha She wouldn't even walk by that trap the rest of the time. And never tried touching any of the others. One morning we heard this little guy get trapped Oaks and I went to see. She was knee slapping and laughing so hard at this little guys she thought it was so funny I felt so bad but I was laughing at her little reaction. Mice make me sick. But this little guy was so cute. POOR THING. Now he is sleeping forever.

Oaks wearing her dads hat at the fireworks on the Fourth of July. These two are so stinkin cute. They melt my heart..

Oak and I at the Parade in Ashton they go down once and turn around and do the whole parade again it is Fabulous. Seriously though they throw a ton of candy and, chocolate milk seriously? AMAZING!!! Oaks thought it was so much fun picking up the candy and putting it in her bucket. She kept walking right up to the horses, crazy girl!!!

We went to Dave's Jubilee Everyday to eat. It's a bunch of Fried Stuff for like 3 bucks. NO Ry and I never ate it but it's still fun to go along for the ride. Then they have Ice cream that is so YUM and it's only 1 dollar... Everytime you walk in to that Grocery Store it smells weird a mix between pee, grease, and Rat trap. Delicious!!!
